SMS and email notifications

Per-event toggles in Settings → Notifications. Email on every tier; client SMS on Professional.

Mour sends transactional notifications to your clients on your behalf — "your mowing is scheduled for Tuesday 9am," "invoice sent," "payment received." Email is available on every plan, Hustler included. Client SMS is a Professional feature — and it is unmetered: there is no monthly allowance to track and nothing extra to buy.

Mour's SMS is outbound only. Mour sends the texts; client replies to those texts aren't monitored and there's no in-app inbox. If you need a back-and-forth conversation, point clients to a phone call or email.

SMS notifications (Professional)

On Professional, Mour sends SMS notifications to your clients on your behalf for the events you enable. SMS is switched on automatically the day you subscribe — there's nothing to set up.

Opt-outs are handled per business automatically. Opt-outs are isolated per business, so when a client opts out of your messages (see The STOP keyword), it only affects your business. Other Mour operators who happen to serve the same client are unaffected — Mour keeps opt-outs isolated per business for you.

SMS is outbound only. If a client replies to a text Mour sent, that reply isn't monitored — there's no in-app inbox and no auto-reply. Point clients to a call or email if you want a two-way conversation.

Per-event toggles

Settings → Notifications. For each event, toggle SMS and email independently:

  • Job scheduled — confirmation when a job is booked.
  • Job completed — sent after you tap Complete.
  • Invoice sent — on invoice send (Professional).
  • Rescheduled — when a job's date or time changes.
  • Cancelled — when a job is cancelled.
  • Payment received — when you record payment on an invoice.

Plus push notifications that go to you (not your clients):

  • Job reminder — advance notice (30 min / 1 hour / 1 day before).
  • Invoice overdue — alert when an invoice goes overdue.
  • Grace period — warning about billing issues.

Toggles are account-wide; per-client overrides aren't available.

Which plans include SMS

  • Hustler (free): SMS is not included — upgrade for outbound texts.
  • Professional: client SMS notifications are included, and unmetered.

Email has no cap and works on every tier. See the pricing page for what each plan includes.

The STOP keyword

If a client replies STOP, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT to a Mour SMS, they're opted out automatically and won't receive future SMS from your account. This is handled at the carrier and message-provider level — you don't need to do anything.

Opt-outs are scoped to your business automatically. If a client happens to be another Mour operator's client too, that operator's notifications still go through — only your business loses the ability to text that client.

To re-enable, the client needs to text START. (Forcing an opt-back-in without that consent can violate TCPA, so we don't expose a manual override.)

The HELP keyword

If a client replies HELP to a Mour SMS, they automatically receive support information: "Mour alerts. For support: support@mour.app. Reply STOP to unsubscribe." Message and data rates may apply. Like STOP, this is answered at the message-provider level — you don't need to do anything.

Email notifications

Sent from the email address you configure in Settings → Business Profile — usually yourname@yourbusiness.com or noreply@yourbusiness.com.

If you use Gmail / iCloud / Outlook on your business email, your delivery reputation is high. If your business has its own domain, make sure SPF / DKIM / DMARC are set up — otherwise some recipients (Gmail in particular) may send emails to spam.
