Invoicing

Drafted automatically on job completion. Send by email. Record payment when it lands. Professional only.

Invoicing is a Professional-tier feature. Mour drafts invoices automatically when you complete a job; you review, edit if needed, and send.

How an invoice gets created

When you mark a job complete on Professional:

  1. Mour reads the services performed and their prices (from the client's address → service).
  2. Drafts an invoice with line items for each service.
  3. Sets the due date to today + your configured offset (default 14 days; change in Settings → Configuration).
  4. Leaves the invoice in Draft state for you to review.

States

Invoices flow through:

  • Draft — not yet sent. You can edit line items, void, or change the due date.
  • Sent — you tapped Send. The email was dispatched (or you marked it "sent manually" if you delivered another way).
  • Paid — you tapped Record Payment after the money came in. Date and payment method captured.
  • Overdue — sent and past the due date. Flagged automatically so it doesn't get lost in the list.
  • Voided — cancelled with a reason, kept in the invoice's history for your records.

Sending

Open the draft invoice → tap Send. By default, an email is dispatched to the client's email address with the invoice as HTML in the body. From: your configured business email-from (Settings → Business Profile).

If you delivered the invoice another way (printed, hand-delivered, attached to another email), tap Mark as sent without dispatching.

Record payment

When the money comes in, open the invoice → Record Payment. Pick:

  • Date — defaults to today.
  • Method — cash, check, Venmo, Zelle, your own card processor, etc.
  • Reference number — optional. Check number, Venmo transaction ID, etc.

You collect payment your way

Mour records payments; it never touches the money. Collect however you already do — Venmo, Zelle, cash, check, or your own card processor — and mark the invoice paid when the money lands. That keeps your fees and your payouts entirely yours.

If you want a "pay online" link on the invoice, drop your Venmo / Cash App handle into your business profile (it appears on every invoice), or paste your own pay link into the invoice notes.

A few things worth knowing

  • Build any tax into your service prices — invoices total up the line items as priced.
  • The invoice is delivered as an email you can save or print from your mail client if you need a copy on file.
  • Overdue invoices are flagged for you in the app so you can decide when to follow up with the client.
