Account deletion and data export

How to delete your account, how to export your data, what we keep and for how long.

You own your data. You can delete your account anytime, and you can export everything before you do (or any time, just for safekeeping).

Exporting your data

Email founder@mour.app with "Data export request" in the subject line. Tell us the email on your Mour account.

We'll generate a zip archive containing:

  • A JSON file with all your clients, addresses, services, jobs, invoices, notes, activity log.
  • A directory of all photos attached to your jobs, organized by job.
  • A README explaining the structure.

You get a private download link by email. It's good for 48 hours; if you miss the window, just ask and we'll regenerate it.

Turnaround: usually a day or two, often same-day if you ask during US business hours.

Deleting your account

Settings → Danger Zone → Delete Account — in the mobile app or the web app at app.mour.app.

Confirmation prompt — the app reminds you about the 30-day recovery window before you confirm. After confirmation:

  1. Your account is deactivated and you're signed out.
  2. Your active subscription:
    • Paying by card on the web (Stripe)? Deleting your account automatically cancels your subscription at the end of the current billing period — the time you've already paid for plays out, and nothing bills after that. If the cancellation can't be completed (rare), the deletion itself is refused so you're never left deleted but still being charged; just try again.
    • Subscribed through Apple or Google? Mour can't cancel a store subscription for you — cancel it in Apple or Google's settings (see Billing for the steps). If you don't cancel, Apple / Google will keep billing you and Mour can't refund those charges.
  3. Your data is kept for 30 days. During this recovery window:
    • It's hidden from the app and from admin tools.
    • Changed your mind? Just sign in again — with your email and password, or with Google, any time within the 30 days — and your account and all your data come right back exactly as they were. It's fully self-service; no need to email support. (If your paid billing period had already lapsed, you'll come back on the free free Hustler plan and can resubscribe.)
  4. After 30 days, we permanently delete your account and all associated data. No recovery after this point — and the email address is then free to start a brand-new account.

What gets purged

  • User account record.
  • All client, address, service, job, invoice records owned by the account.
  • All photos attached to those jobs.
  • All activity log entries scoped to your account.
  • All push notification tokens.

What we keep after purge

  • Backups — we keep encrypted backups for 30 days. Your data leaves the rolling backup window over the 30 days after your account is purged.
  • Aggregate analytics — we keep aggregate counts ("X new accounts in March") that don't identify you.
  • Technical logs — we keep basic technical access logs for 90 days. They include your IP address but no other personal data.
  • Stripe / Apple / Google records on the billing-provider side — those are subject to their own retention policies and are not in our control.

GDPR / CCPA-style requests

If you're in a jurisdiction with statutory data-rights frameworks (GDPR, CCPA, etc.), we honor:

  • Right to access — that's the export above.
  • Right to correct — edit anything you see in the app.
  • Right to delete — that's the deletion above.
  • Right to object — tell us what processing you want to opt out of; email founder@mour.app.
  • Right to portability — the export is in machine-readable JSON.

We honor these as a matter of policy, not just where law requires.

If your phone is lost or stolen

Open Mour's web app at app.mour.app from another device — or contact us at founder@mour.app from any email address. We can sign every device out of your account remotely, so a lost or stolen phone loses access right away — even before you can wipe it.
